AS 2550.1 Statutory Compliance
Annual & Routine Crane Inspections Perth & WA
Your annual inspection is what keeps the crane legal to operate and keeps your compliance file intact. It's a routine job, right up until the year somebody asks to see the records and they aren't there. Inspections to AS 2550.1 across Perth and regional WA, with defects repaired by the same team that finds them.

Annual & Routine Inspections
What the annual inspection covers.
Structure, Mechanisms & Ropes
Girders, end carriages, connections and fixings checked for damage, distortion, cracking and corrosion. Gearboxes, couplings, brakes, drums and sheaves assessed, and rope or chain measured against the standard's discard criteria.
Safety Systems & Electrical
Limit switches, overload protection, emergency stops and warning devices function-tested. Controls, pendant or radio, contactors, festoon, isolation and earthing inspected under Electrical Contractor Licence EC 16283.
Defects Fixed, Not Just Listed
Most inspection companies hand you a defect list and leave. We carry out mechanical repair and hold Electrical Contractor Licence EC 16283, so in most cases the fault found on the inspection is repaired by the same team, often on the same visit.

Case Study
The crane file follows the crane.
We carried out the major overhauls on two overhead cranes for the building owner, then kept both on a routine service cycle through the years that followed, including a change of tenant. When a new occupier moved into the building, they inherited machines with a complete, documented inspection history, and knew who to call because our name was on the crane.
